Can the earth be millions or billions of years old as the evolutionists claim it to be? The answer is no, not if the Bible is true. Must the earth be millions or billions of years old for evolution to be true? The answer is yes because the evolutionary theory is based on slow tiny changes occuring over long periods of time. Even the evolutionist admits there is no rapid evolution taking place for all to observe. Evolutionary theory collapses without the millions or billions of years.
The oldest known historical records are less than 6,000 years old. Biblical dates add up to about 6,000 years, namely, the boring begats giving the generations from Adam to Christ of about 4,000 years, and then we know from Christ to the present would be about another 2,000. I have found it to be a great relief to finally understand why all the begats were important enough to be in the text. They tell us from creation until now could not be more than six thousand years, or not much more.
When was the beginning? "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Gen. 1:1) "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female." (Mk. 10:6) "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the word was God." (Jn.1:1) If words have meaning, the Bible states the beginning was creation week.
Did you know there are hundreds of scientific reasons you are never told about to show the universe cannot be millions or billions of years old? Did you know scientists have made coal out of wood in the laboratory in less than a month of time, and this coal cannot be distinguished from natural mined coal? Did you know scientists have made oil out of garbage in the laboratory in less than a month of time and this oil cannot be distinguished from natural crude oil?
Take notice during the next week how often the media will try to convince you that the creation (the universe) is millions or billions of years old. If all this seems childishly simple to you, please remember the scripture - "Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein". Mk. 10:15
