In Christian evangelism, as we attempt to convince a skeptic of the evidence of the truth of the saving Gospel of Christ, it has to be most helpful to us to attempt to understand the mindset of the skeptic. To me, his mindset can be summarized as a mental position of "Don't bother me with any of that religious bunk". If we quote scripture, to him it is "religious bunk". If we tell of our experiences, it is "religious bunk" that we are lying about to try to make him give up his pleasures.
What I am trying to do with this little message is to get my fellow Christians to see the importance of Creation Science in presenting the Gospel to the average lost skeptic. Think of evangelism for Christ in somewhat of the same idea as you would think of military recruitment. We all know military recruitment is easy during war. I remember going down to the Federal Building the Monday morning after the attack on Pearl Harbor. All of the recruiting stations were located there and the activity was frantic. The line for the Navy extended through the lobby, down the steps, to the corner on St. Joseph street, around the corner, and half a block down St. Louis street.
How can we recruit warriors for God unless the recruits are aware of the fact that we are in a war, a long war against God, that this is a serious business, that it is time to put talk of love and peace on the back burner, and recognize the person of a roaring lion going about seeking whom he can devour? Why should anyone enlist if there is no Creator and if they simply evolved upward from slime over millions of years. We are losing our decendents to this roaring lion. Let us recruit for warriors instead of lovers. There is a real world, we are in it, the Gospel is a true message and when proclaimed in its entirety will be effective. (see creation message 26) Actually, the Gospel is our only weapon plus it is the only weapon we need.
The Gospel has to be nonsense if we evolved upward from slime, which is scientifically impossible. Why is this so clear to me as a scientist, but so vague to my Christian brothers? I ask my Christian brothers and sisters to take a deeper and closer look and remember the educational system is teaching this religion of satan to their children where it is against the law to teach religion, and it is being paid for by your tax money. This effectively removes Godly influence from society.
