CREATION SCIENCE MESSAGES
NUMBER 54
PRESENTING THE GOSPEL

Certainly we Christians wish to be more successful in presenting the gospel. The Bible, our book of instructions begins with the simple statement: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth". This is the most profound of all statements that have ever been uttered. Notice our omniscient God puts it first in his inspired instruction manual. This opening sentence gives us an answer to the logical question of what is and was the first cause of time, space and matter. There are only two options for creation. One is this opening statement in the Bible, which would be a supernatural process that we cannot comprehend. The other option is evolution, which states there was no creation, and that time, space and matter are eternal, which would be a supernatural process that we cannot comprehend. We can, by faith, which is total dependence upon God, choose the first one of these options if the Holy Spirit will reveal this has to be the truth to us. Logic does not seem to reveal it to the natural man. The Holy Spirit must reveal this truth to us. Science reveals that evolution (natural processes) cannot add information to the incredibly complex DNA molecule that controls protein synthesis in living cells, and therefore evolution is scientifically impossible. There is no known process for matter to assemble information without intelligence to guide it.

The logical presentation of the gospel requires an acceptance of the true history of the Bible as given in Genesis. This is the Bible story in the first eleven chapters of Genesis. We must accept and understand that the eternal God did create exnihilo (from nothing, by the breath of his mouth, he spoke and it was done). We must understand that man was created (with his incredible biological complexity) in the image of God. We must understand man was created on the sixth literal day exactly as the Bible says. This means there were no millions of years of evolution before Adam. We must believe that at the end of the sixth day everything was very good. There could have been no previous millions of years of death at the end of the sixth day of creation for everything to be very good. If death had been around for millions of years when Adam evolved, then death did not come through man. Man as created by God in His image was to have lived forever in obedience to God in a beautiful pristine environment of God's preparation.

We must understand if God got it wrong in the Bible's history and wrong in astronomy and wrong in biology and wrong in geology why should we believe he got it right in morality and salvation. Why should we believe John 3:16? The Bible must be correct as written by the Holy Spirit, or it cannot be of any value at all.

We must understand that when man disobeyed God, that man forfeited his fellowship with God, and man would have been eternally separated from God. This Holy God requires justice. This Holy God loved man as a real father loves his real son and daughter and did not wish this separation to be eternal. This Holy Loving God knew there was a solution to the problem. He had already planned it before the foundation of the world. This Holy Loving God brought death into the world so his disobedient children could be resurrected in fellowship once again, through the death of Jesus Christ (God as man). For since by man (Adam) came death, by man (Christ Jesus, God the Creator) came also the resurrection from the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Only the Creator of life and death can reverse the sin process.

Notice the acceptance of the truth of the literal history of the Genesis story makes the Gospel childishly simple. Except ye come as a little child.

Isn't Christianity fun?
