Again and again today as I talk to other Christians I am told that I am simply interpreting the scripture differently than the meaning the Holy Spirit intended to convey. This seems to be a reasonable statement on their part. My reply is that I try not to interpret the scripture at all as it was written by an omniscient omnipotent omnipresent eternal being that should certainly be capable of saying what he means. I contend it is our pride in our imagined wisdom that compels us to interpret a different meaning to the clear simple story given in the scripture. We carry a fallen brain full of imagined fact to the scripture and try to make the scripture say something other than it says. The Holy Spirit wrote so a child could get the clear meaning.

When He tells us God took dust and made a man then God took dust and made a man. When He tells us over and over what He did on the first day and the second day and so forth then that's what He did. When He tells us Eve was the mother of all living then Eve was the mother of all living. When He tells us Eve was made from Adam's side on day six then Eve was made from Adam's side on day six and certainly could not have evolved over millions of years. Could a day mean a day? The Holy Spirit chose to use the word day and so could a day mean a day?

When the Holy Spirit tells us in the Bible how many generations of men there were from Adam to Abraham then how many were there? When a tabulation of dates given in scripture shows Noah's flood was 4,400 years ago then how long ago was it? Does a year mean millions of years or could it mean a year? When the scripture says God made every animal after its kind could that mean what it says? Why don't we see cats and dogs changing into dats and cogs? If evolution were true dats and cogs should be everywhere.

When we look at the Grand Canyon and see layers of sedimentary rock running for miles in smooth even fashion with no stump holes or stream beds or unevenness of any sort how could they have piled up on top of each other like that for millions of years. Fossil animals trapped in these layers do not show even one type changing into another kind. Transitional types of change should be everywhere. Think of it! Could the Grand Canyon be God's clear monument of evidence demonstrating the reality of Noah' flood? Has He placed this great monument there in front of our eyes and we have missed it?

I am a scientist and know the scientific method requires observation and experimentation and repetition of these processes until a body of data will establish a predictable and reasonable conclusion. Evolution cannot be observed, evolution has no experiments to demonstrate it, evolution is simply an atheistic idea about origins that says there was no Creator. Evolution certainly is not science it is not even related to science.

Does any of this matter? Hitler was an ardent evolutionist and felt he was only doing mankind a service by accelerating the evolutionary process in eliminating inferior people. Christians, let's get back under the authority of the word of God and accept what the Holy Spirit has written.
