CREATION SCIENCE MESSAGES
NUMBER 45
GOD'S GLORY

John 1:3 "All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made."

Have you ever thought very much about the glory of God? Have you ever wondered what is God's greatest glory? If the average Christian were asked this question, he would probably answer Jesus Christ. In my opinion, that would not be the correct answer, because Jesus Christ is God, and since God is a trinity, God could hardly be God's greatest glory. Jesus Christ, as a full member of the trinity is also God the Creator and the first cause of all things. Most Christians today do not seem to understand this.

First came creation, ex nihilo (out of nothing), then everything was pronounced as very good. Then came man's disobedience, then man's separation from God, thereby making it necessary that man have a savior in order that man's separation from God could be remedied, and man's fellowship with God restored.

If man had never disobeyed God, there would never have been a need for Christ to die to redeem man. Therefore, it seems reasonable to me to say God's greatest glory is his creation, ex nihilo, an obvious supernatural event. Try to use your reason to imagine the creation of matter, time, and space out of nothing. Yet, we can reason that there had to be a first cause for all things, because the only other alternative is the existence of matter, time, and space without a first cause, which is uncreated materialism which is also a supernatural idea. This uncreated materialism is the idea of evolution, which is scientifically impossible because scientific observation shows us the natural laws that govern this universe reveal it is running down and no new energy is being created. Science shows living things are being copied, but with a gradual decrease in DNA quality. There is no known natural random chance scientific process of adding information to the DNA molecule, which therefore, makes evolution impossible. If there were such a process, it would have to be easily observed, clearly demonstrable, and going on everywhere at present as it would have had to occur trillions and trillions of times for an amoeba to ascend even to an earth worm. So men professing themselves to be wise, have become fools.

Humanists hate and despise the concept of creation. Whenever creation ex nihilo is mentioned in the presence of a humanist, he will rage and frequently become irrational. He has evolution as his theology, because then he does not have to answer to a higher authority. Creation ex nihilo is foundational to the presentation of the gospel. Creation ex nihilo is foundational to the presentation of the gospel. Most of the time Christianity is presented without the part of the story of God's supernatural creation, ex nihilo. When this happens, God's greatest glory is omitted. Perhaps the clergy will recognize the importance of this omission and begin to give us the rest of the story every time the gospel is presented.

The apostle Paul understood the principle clearly. In Acts 17, Paul met the atheistic Epicureans and pantheistic Stoics head on. They were the professional Humanists of his day, and remember the theology of humanism is evolutionary atheism or evolutionary pantheism, that is, a beginning without God the creator. Paul fearlessly and clearly preached to these evolutionary humanists three fundamental Christian truths - the resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts17:18), the creation of the universe by God (Acts 17:24). and the judgement to come (Acts 17:31)

Why should we not do the same? The power of the gospel is in a complete gospel. God created the universe and all things in it, mankind rebelliously smashed the image of God by disobedience (sin), Jesus Christ died for our sin, was raised from the dead, and is alive forevermore (1 Corinthians 15:1- 4). We must stand fast in the context of the same worldview as Paul - creation, resurrection, and judgement, and because we haven't the church needs to confess this sin and repent.

It seems to me the church and Christians today rob God of his greatest glory in omitting the creation message. This is accomplished by acrobatic semantic compromising interpretations that our Savior answers with: "I WOULD THOU WERT COLD OR HOT. SO THEN BECAUSE THOU ART LUKEWARM, AND NEITHER COLD NOR HOT, I WILL SPUE THEE OUT OF MY MOUTH." (Rev.3:15,16)
