We mortals tend to avoid the subject of death and generally speak of it only at funerals, but let's look at the importance of death closely for a few moments. Again and again as I talk to Christians today I encounter the idea that God maybe used evolution in his creative process. This concept that God used evolution has the name of progressive creation and is popular with many very prominent Christian leaders. To accept such an idea is totally contrary to scripture, logic and science. Evolutionists did not originate the concept of progressive creation. Compromising Christians invented progressive creation to supposedly push millions of years into the Bible and make it acceptable to rational thinking.

Death is an absolute requirement for the theory of the mechanism of evolution. Death and birth and death and birth supposedly formed a chain of upward development over long periods of time. Accept this idea and you have destroyed the Gospel. Evolution requires the death of each individual in the chain. The anti-biblical character of evolution becomes quite clear when we understand its advocates elevate death to be the creator of life.

The Bible teaches death is an intruder, in fact, it calls death the last enemy. At the end of day six of creation week God pronounced everything as very good. There was no death in His creation at the end of day six, or God could not have pronounced everything as very good. All creatures ate vegetation. That means no meat from the death of creatures. Death entered God's creation when Adam disobeyed God (sinned). Death was God's penalty for sin. If that is not true, there is no need for a Savior. What Christ did on the cross would be meaningless. Evolutionary thought is the religion of Satan, simply a lie, a religion of death. Biblical Christianity is the religion of life, creation of life and eternal life. Evolution is man's attempt to make a Creator unnecessary so man will not be responsible to a Creator.

Evolution is the greatest enemy of Christianity and most Christians cannot see it and continue to quietly pay taxes to quietly teach it to their children. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will open Christian's eyes and let them see it, and the Church will no longer be silent on the subject. When this happens, Christians will return to the authority of the Word of God and Christians will once again accept the Bible as literal history. Then you will see the Holy Spirit's blessing as we accept his word as literal truth and the Church will arise and revive as it honors God's word.

For the clergy to accept progressive creation in their thinking is not only bad theology but is a denial of the clear teaching of scripture. It is also bad science because science clearly shows the DNA is an unbelievably complex code system of information that controls protein synthesis in cellular construction and there is no natural means to add to the DNA. Natural processes of mutations only damage the DNA. If there were a natural process of adding to the DNA then evolution might be feasible. Evolutionists that are scientists know this but believe in evolution because they want to.

One must believe either in evolution or creation. There are no other options for origins. If one will not believe in creation, he has to believe in evolution. To dodge being responsible to God, the Creator, one must choose to believe in evolution.

Q: Why are so many Christians unable to defend their faith in today's culture?

A: Sadly, most Christians don't know why they believe what they do. They know there are Christian doctrines, but they cannot defend them.

One of the major reasons is because they've been so thoroughly indoctrinated with evolution that they don't really believe the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. They aren't sure they can really trust it. In most instances, they don't believe the book of Genesis is literal, historical truth.

You see, if you want to defend your faith, you've got to be able to answer questions like, 'where did God come from? How do we know that God is Creator? What happened to the dinosaurs? Where did Cain get his wife? Was there really a flood? Was the story of Noah's ark really true?'

These things in Genesis are being constantly attacked. As a result, many Christians doubt the Bible because they can't get answers. That's why we need to study the book of Genesis in detail so that we can give those answers to the critics who are opposing Christianity today.
