Let us imagine for a moment that nothing will change and the church will remain in its present state of mind. Most of the clergy believe science has proven the cosmos to be millions and billions of years old. Most of the scientists have adopted the position of millions of years. Most of the population has been convinced there are millions and billions of years behind us. Most of the clergy cannot see any importance in this matter. Most Christians cannot see any importance in the matter.
To accept the simple message of scripture that there are no millions of years requires that you admit you have been conned by Satan’s lie of millions of years. This means you will have to admit you are stupid. No one wants to go there. This will require repentance. It resulted in repentance in my life that is still operating. We naturally hate repentance because we imagine we are so wonderfully wise and forget the wisdom of man is foolishness to God. This repentance will cause all clergy and Christians to admit they have been silent and confused while millions of years was taught to their children. If the children’s origin was from slime and time and not God then the children are rational to do what is right in their own eyes. We are losing the children and the church doesn’t understand why. We do not defend the scripture and still we act pious and are at a loss to explain what has caused this increasing disorder. The church is largely a collection of pompous pious Pharisees.
We can stay on this course and pile up on the rocks or we can change course and start to believe the scripture and with the help of God miss the rocks. It will be close but His promises are still good.
I am an old man with many years of forgiven sin on my record. I remember WW2 so clearly that it astounds me. The nation came together as one unit and it was inspiring to watch the transformation of our nation as we all knew the situation was desperate and everything shifted into high gear. Sacrifice was everywhere and trust of one another abounded. Uncle Sam was battered for a while and then he became a tiger. For all of the horror there was a balance of trust and desire for a better world. We won the war then the greatest generation fumbled the ball and lost the peace.
We trusted the educators as they gradually assured us it was OK to slowly remove Godly influence from instruction. We trusted the clergy as they became confused and compromised the scripture until the majority today have no absolutes and don’t even comprehend what the term means and do not seem to know what they believe. We trusted the politicians as they expanded government where the constitution said it did not belong.
When the foundations are destroyed what can the righteous do? They can restore the foundations and return to believing and defending the scripture. Our future rests in our ability to repent. I pray God will bring repentance to our land.
