Can the church be asleep and blind? Christ said it would be when He returned. If we would stop compromising scripture, the Holy Spirit could bring a rapid awakening and restoration of the church's vision and power. "And Jesus said unto them, come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men." Mark 1:17. Most of us, at some time, have been fishing, and know this requires bait, a hook and a line. A pole is not essential. Another way to fish requires a net and a line or lines to the net; cast net or trawl net. The net represents a continuous line without any holes in the net from broken line. Christian preaching and witnessing is our fishing line to the lost with the bait being eternal life and security in having Jesus in you as a guide, and the church generally recommends what has become known as the Roman road or some variation of it to present the gospel message. This invitation is the fishing line to the lost, and it must be logical and unbroken.
Let's travel the road. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Ro.3:10. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Ro.3:23. "WHEREFORE, AS BY ONE MAN SIN ENTERED INTO THE WORLD, AND DEATH BY SIN AND SO DEATH PASSED UPON ALL MEN, FOR ALL HAVE SINNED:" Ro.5:12. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Ro. 6:23. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Ro.10:9,10.
Did you notice how often the word sin appears throughout the Roman road? The biblical gospel fishing message requires that we understand that we are sinners. What does the Bible tell us is the origin of sin? Read Ro.5:12 in capitals again and you will see it is referring to Adam. Without Adam the message collapses. Evolution says there was no Adam. Without Adam there is no sin origin. Most people cannot even hear they are sinners because the fishing line has been cut by evolution.
If Genesis 1:1 is not true, if the six days of creation are not true, if the account of Adam is not true, if Noah's flood is not true some 4,400 years ago, then when in the Bible does God start to tell the truth? Why should John 3:16 be true if there is so much in the Bible that evolution says is not true. The world sees the church as a group of demented deluded simple emotional kooks who have no answers for "the proven fact of evolution". The church must return to defending the scripture so that the authority of the Bible can be restored.
People, public education is not neutral. The Bible has been removed, the ten commandments have been removed, prayer has been removed, all courses are taught on the basis of an imagined upward evolving climb from primitive creatures with a natural origin for everything. The marvelous achievements in our modern world are the results of an accumulation of the real scientific technology of discovery of how God operates and governs his creation. Once again, evolution is not science. It is only a false idea to remove God as Creator from our thinking.
